This two day training conference, which will be held at the historic Assembly Hall on the Indiana University Bloomington campus, will provide the field training officer with valuable training in the areas of mentoring, leadership, ethics, and training as well as provide a forum to network with other field training officers from around the state. If you are currently a NAFTO member you will have the opportunity to renew friendships and share information regarding training, evaluating, and mentoring. If you are new to NAFTO you will be happy you joined this group of professional trainers. Keynote speaker for the conference will be Doyle T. Wright. Doyle Wright served in Civilian and Military Law Enforcement for more than twenty years, retiring as a Riverside County, California, Sheriff's Lieutenant. In addition to serving as a Patrol Supervisor and Commander, Doyle was a member of his Department's Emergency Service (S.W.A.T.) Team for more than twelve years, serving as a Team Leader for more than eight years. In these capacities Doyle was involved in, and responsible for the supervision of personnel at the scene of, numerous critical incidents. He also served on departmental shooting review boards as well as his agency's Field Operations Training Committee. Doyle has provided training regarding officer involved shootings investigation to students from local, state and federal law enforcement agencies across the country. Doyle is a graduate of the FBI's Basic S.W.A.T., Advanced S.W.A.T., Chemical Agent Instructor and Sniper Schools, Riverside County Sheriff's Department's S.W.A.T. Course, Stockton, California, Advanced S.W.A.T. School, U.S. Army's Executive Protection Course and The National Tactical Officers Association's Patrol Response to Active Shooters In Schools and Public Buildings Instructor Certification Course. He is a member of the American Society for Law Enforcement Trainers, California Association of Tactical Officers and National Tactical Officers Association.
